Nortel Wins Chunghwa Telecom WiMAX Tender for NT$1

On September 14 Nortel won a Chunghwa Telecom tender to provide the Taiwanese company with equipment for its WiMAX testing project. Nortel only paid NT$1, and because of this extremely low price Chunghwa Telecom has requested Nortel to put up NT$3 million as collateral. Other bidders included Taiwan International Standard Electronics and Lucent.
